I recently used the services of M.T. Ruhl Electrical Contracting from Phoenixville, Pennsylvania to purchase and install a 14kw Generac Home Generator. They are a family owned and operated small business. We started with scheduling a virtual walk through of our home exterior including snapshots of exterior Electrical & Gas Meter\u2019s. I then went to basement to get a snapshot of the electrical panel. We then discussed appliances/equipment utilizing electric in the home such as HVAC, refrigerators, TV\u2019s, etc\u2026 We discussed the size of the generator and ended the meeting. Within an hour I had a quote emailed to me. After a few days I decided to go with M.T. Ruhl. I provided a deposit and scheduled the installation. Nathan Ruhl and his crew came out to do the installation and worked nonstop for 3 to 4 hours. They explained the features of the generator, ran a test, loaded the Generac app on my phone and made sure the areas inside and out were cleaned up before they left. I was a facilities manager, and worked with a lot of contractors and I can honestly say M.T. Ruhl was excellent, and I would highly recommend them.

From the time I started the process of having a generator to completion MT Ruhl Electrical made it easy. Nathan provided the estimate answered many of my questions and followed up with what was needed to get things going. He personally showed up with his crew, did a quality install and cleaned up their work area. Also their office was a big help registering the generator, sending in all of the warranty information and setting up the Mobil Link. Good business to work with.

M.T.Ruhl did everything they said they would do including delivering, installing and testing the generator, electric panel, transfer switch and doing all the wiring and install. Everything happened on time and the generator works.

Nate and his team called 15 minutes out from their scheduled time and date to let me know they were on the way. The workmanship and knowledge was all we could ask for. Excellent job! Our only issue was with me to program our Wi-Fi AC and heater thermostat to run final test on the system, finally got it programmed and all is well.

The lead personnel introduced themselves, let us know what to expect during the installation, used tarps on our floors because they needed to access the electrical panel in the basement, and demonstrated the unit upon job completion. Our Township inspector has since complimented the neatness of the work done in our electrical panel. I'm happy with their work and recommend them.

Mark and his team were awesome in installing my whole home generator. They were very professional, did an excellent job and left the site perfect. They also went a step further and cleaned up and mounted all my electrical equipment that was in the garage on the wall and installed another outlet. Everything looks and performs great. I was very pleased with every aspect of my interaction with M. T. Ruhl. When I was collecting initial quotes, there was no attempt to upsell me (unlike a couple of other contractors) and I am confident that I bought a unit of the appropriate size for my house. Communications were good during the period when we were waiting for the permit from the township. The installation was courteous and professional, and at the end the technician made sure I understood all aspects of the system. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone else.

This was a decision a couple of years in the making. Finally made the call to Generac and they connected me with a few contractors in my area. MTRuhl contacted me right away; the others, not so much. Mark came out to the house, went over everything and answered all my questions and had the numbers for me that day. No pressure at all. I knew I was going to go with MTRuhl, but went ahead and contacted others, which by the way those estimates were higher and gave me the impression they wanted to be somewhere else. Aside from the township being slow with issuing the permit everything proceeded smoothly. Install day went just as smooth. All the guys were friendly and courteous and very cognizant of keeping the work area and house clean. They also were very patient with me and my questions. There was a "minor" hiccup the next day but a quick call to MTRuhl and they were all over it and got it resolved. We our new generac whole house backup generator and the team from M.T. Ruhl and they were great! They kept us informed throughout the process. The electricians were very helpful and friendly. We are now all set and ready to go into the bad weather without a worry.
